SMART’s palm oil plantations cover more than 138,000 hectares (including smallholder farmers). Our primary activities are cultivating and harvesting oil palms, processing fresh fruit bunches (FFBs) into crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel, and refining CPO into value-added products such as cooking oil, margarine, and shortening. We operate 16 mills, four kernel crushing plants and four refineries across Indonesia.

Besides bulk and industrial oil, SMART’s refined products are also marketed under several brands such as Filma and Kunci Mas. Today, these brands have been recognised for their high quality and command significant market share in their respective segment in Indonesia.

Mechanical Engineer (Medan)

Job Description Summary :

Supervise all mechanical jobs in Oleochemical Plant, static and rotating jobs
Daily Jobs, and Turn Around job, prepare spare part plant, optimizing consumed spare part and ensure no repeat problem to the repaired equipment by team in his assigned area.

Job Description :

Carry out maintenance of factory equipment, both rotating and static equipment and repair of equipment related to Mechanical work.
Make a Mechanical team work plan for daily, weekly, monthly and during plant overhaul activities.
Using SAP/SRM7 or other systems that have been used by the company to monitor Mechanical work starting from checking and making notifications to change status to WO, CNF and Teco and making it in the form of weekly or monthly reports.
Maintain intense communication to all user areas for identification and troubleshooting for problem solving related to the scope of Mechanical work, raise MR if spare parts or equipment need to be ordered then ensuring the process of ordering material also related to the work with the planner.
Carry out Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement activities in accordance with socimas culture, and be able to develop ways of working to be more effective and efficient so as to reduce equipment breakdown and assist the team in carrying out work in the field,
Actively report and take action to prevent unsafe conditions and unsafe behavior of subordinates.
Coordinate the handling of emergencies such as fire, spill, explosion, natural disaster in the area of responsibility.

Job Requirement :

Min Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Having min 3-4 years of working experience in Mechanical at Oleochemical Industry
Fluent in English
Good in communication and analytical thinking
Having good knowledge about (GMP+, OHSAS, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, Halal, GMP +B2, EffCI, GMP).
Willing to be located in Medan - Oleochemical
